Bob Drake Sr. started in the Bail Bond Business in 1959 in Santa Ana. At that time, only a handful of bail bondsman were here. We’ve always had a prime office location until 2008 when we acknowledged the shift to clients preferring an internet solution to their bonding needs.
There was a time when having an office by the jail was a necessary convenience for clients. You would come to our office, pick up a bail bond and walk to the jail to pick-up the person being bailed out. It took a matter of minutes to complete everything. Today, it can take from a minimum of 3 to more than 10 hours for someone to be released, and there is nothing convenient having to wait for that. We made the decision to get out of the traditional “brick and mortar” office to focus on better service for our clients with our “call” or “click” service. We do that a couple ways. First, we try to get as much done over the phone or by use of email, FAX or texting. In rare cases where we can't finish everything by one of those means, we come to you where it is convenient: whether it is your home, your office, the courthouse or the jail. Don’t worry - we are professional and discrete. That way you only need one trip to the jail, to pick up the person being bonded out when they are released. Don’t get stuck wasting your valuable time driving to an office – not in the 21st Century!

Owner of Bob Drake Bail Bonds. Bob’s family has been in the Bail Bond Business since 1959. A native of Orange County, Bob has been running the family business since 1991 when Bob Drake Sr. unexpectedly past away. A graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Finance and Business Economics. Bob brings a solid education background to complement his years of business success. He is a Lifetime Member of both the California Bail Agents Association (CBAA) and the Professional Bail Agents of the United States (PBUS). From PBUS he has attained the Professional Certification of “Certified Bail Agent.” In addition to a Bail Agents License, Bob also holds a Fire & Casualty Insurance License (0817387) from the Department of Insurance and has his Notary Public Commission.
Melody Drake Nationally Certified Bail Agent License Number 1833679
Melody has been writing bail since 1993 and has been married to Bob since 1990. Melody has a B.S. from California State University, Long Beach, a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Redlands and currently spends more time in the classroom teaching middle schooler's. Bob & Melody have four kids either in high school, college or not involved in the bail industry. She is a Lifetime Member of both the California Bail Agents Association (CBAA) and the Professional Bail Agents of the United States (PBUS). From PBUS she also has attained the Professional Certification of “Certified Bail Agent.” In addition to a Bail Agents License, Melody holds a Fire & Casualty Insurance License (#0833689) from the Department of Insurance and has her Notary Public Commission.
Bill Young Bail Agent License Number 1842215
Bill’s been a licensed bail agent since 2000 when he moved to California. He’s Melody’s brother and a vital member of our family business. He’s very interested in car’s and also works as a professional driver.
Bobby Neishi Bail Agent License Number 1841798 (retired)
Bobby is a native Californian and avid surfer, dirt bike rider and family man. He wrote bail from 1999 to 2012 when he retired from the bail bonding industry. Bobby alwasys put people first and provided caring, comforting service at a difficult time.
Shirley Young Bail Agent License Number 1842528 (retired)
Shirley was licensed in 2002 when she came to California from Alabama. She is ranked the #1 Mother-In-Law by the Owner. In addition to her bail license, Shirley was a licensed real estate agent and Notary Public. In 2007 Shirley married, moved to Florioda and turned in her real estate and bail bond carreer to be with her husband.

Rob Binder Founder Emeritus, Binder’s Bail Bonds (retired)
Rob Binder founded Binder’s Bail Bonds with his mother Lista Binder in 1996. Prior to bail, Rob was a successful maritime Captain and Ordained Minister. You could find Rob on any given afternoon cruising up and down the coast of Southern California with friends and guests. Rob received his B.A. degree from U.C. Santa Barbara in 1990. In 2004, after 7 successful years growing Binder’s Bail Bonds to a major Southern California Bail Agency, Rob retired from the bail bond business and sold his company.
Sean Cook Founder Emeritus, Intrastate Bail Bonds
Sean Founded Intrastate Bail Bonds in 1995 and we purchased his business in 2000 when he got out of the retail bail buisiness.
Kenny Ware Founder Emeritus, Kenny Ware Bail Bonds, Anaheim-Fullerton Bail Bonds (deceased)
Kenny started in the Bail Bond Business in 1962 in Northern Orange County and was a fixture for years. He later moved to Huntington Beach and the focus of his business did too. In 1998 he sold his business to Intrastate Bail Bonds and joined our company when we purchased Intrastate Bail Bonds in 2000. Kenny retired to Georgia to be closer to his family and fly the airplane he built.
